Tiltgate Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Tiltgate is a pre-trade checklist app. It checks a trade setup you describe against trading rules you write. This policy explains what data Tiltgate handles. Tiltgate is provided by Jose Cardama ("we"), who is responsible for your data. Contact: jp@cardama.me.

No account. Tiltgate does not ask for your name, email, or phone number. When you first open the app, it creates a random anonymous identity on your device. Your data is tied to that identity only.

What we store. We store the trading rules you write, the trade setups you check, the verdicts, your journal notes, your weekly free-check count, and whether you have an active subscription. We store this text as you wrote it. It is kept until you delete it.

How checks work. To produce a verdict, we send the text of your current rules and the setup you entered to our decision service provider, TypeSafe. We send no personal identifier with it. TypeSafe states that it does not train or fine-tune any model on this input and keeps data only as long as reasonably necessary to provide its service.

Subscriptions. Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription. RevenueCat receives your anonymous identity and your purchase records. We never see your payment card.

Analytics and crash reports. We use PostHog to count how the app is used (for example, that a check was started or a rule was saved) and to receive crash reports. These events never contain your rules, setups, or journal text. They use a separate random ID that is not linked to your Tiltgate identity. We discard your IP address and do not use location. PostHog keeps these events for up to 1 year. You can turn analytics and crash reports off at any time in Settings.

Service providers. Clockwork Labs (database hosting), Cloudflare (server hosting), TypeSafe (check evaluation), RevenueCat (subscriptions), PostHog (analytics), and Apple and Google (app stores and payments). They process data only to provide their service, and some are in the United States. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Deleting your data. In the app, go to Settings → Delete everything. This deletes your rules, checks, verdicts, journal, weekly check count, subscription status, and our subscription record at RevenueCat, then starts the app fresh with a new identity. Limits: analytics events already sent under the anonymous analytics ID cannot be deleted through PostHog's tools and are kept for up to 1 year; text already sent to TypeSafe follows its retention; Apple and Google keep their own purchase records. Deleting your data does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. On Android, reinstalling the app starts a new identity. On iPhone, deleting the app does not remove your identity, so use Delete everything instead.

Your rights (EU, UK, and similar laws). We process your data to provide the app you asked for (performance of a contract) and, for analytics and crash reports, based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it, which you can object to by turning analytics off in Settings. You can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to or restrict its processing, by writing to jp@cardama.me. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask you to confirm the request from inside the app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own transfer safeguards.

Children. Tiltgate is not intended for anyone under 18.

Security. Data is encrypted in transit. Your identity token is kept in the device's secure storage.

Changes and contact. We will update this page when this policy changes. Questions or requests: jp@cardama.me.
